Dr. Clare Maine

Dr. Clare Maine the founder of the clinic graduated OVC in 1989 and opened Rockwood Veterinary Clinic in 1995. She is the proud mother of a son, a daughter and numerous pets. “I am thrilled to say that after many of practice I love what I do and consider myself very lucky to be a veterinarian in a great practice”.

Dr. Kshitij Bhargav

Hello, I'm Kshitij Bhargav, a licensed veterinarian who loves animals and cares deeply about their well-being. I graduated from GADVASU in India in 2017. In 2019, I moved to Canada to find better opportunities. I went through the required exams to become certified by the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) and the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC). I'm enthusiastic about learning and dedicated to providing top-notch care. I believe in the special connection between pets, owners, and their doctor. What truly inspires me is the heartwarming feedback I receive from patient owners. Their kind words and appreciation are the greatest rewards of my career. I'm skilled in medical and surgical care and committed to compassionate patient care.
Senior Veterinary Technician

LeeAnn Leeder

LeeAnn has been at Rockwood Veterinary Clinic since 1998. As the senior technician, she is a wealth of information and experience. She is an amazing teacher, and is always taking co-op students and volunteers under her wing. LeeAnn is a versatile team member and works both downstairs doing surgery, appointments, and even reception occasionally, as well as upstairs in the office. She always has a friendly smile and warming greeting for you and your pets.

LeeAnn shares her farm with countless animals, many rescues coming from the clinic. Her pug ‘Esemee’, is her constant companion, occasionally accompanying her to work on her office days. She spends her spare time with her family and animals, enjoying the company of her dogs, cats, horses and a pot belly pig.

Veterinary Technician

Sera Stinson

Sera has been a part of the Rockwood Veterinary Clinic team since 2008. She began working as a kennel attendant and has worked extremely hard to learn the skills and techniques practiced by veterinary technicians. She now uses her passion for animals and skills as a technician to assist in all areas of the clinic, from appointments to surgery, patient care, reception, office duties, and more. She also works with the Animals Homeward Bound Rescue, ensuring all the animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and given their health checks on schedule so that they can be adopted and go to their homes in a timely manner.

When Sera is not working, she spends time with her two loveable dogs “April” and “Jimmy”, and her two cats, Trash, and Shmoopy, and a goldfish that she rescued from her sister’s bachelorette party.

Registered Veterinary Technician

Shayna Wong

Born and raised with a deep love for animals, Shayna's journey led her to become a registered Veterinary Technician after coming to Rockwood Vet Clinic in 2009 as her high school co-op placement. In 2012, she completed her education at Sheridan College, paving the way for a rewarding career.

With over 15 years of experience, Shayna has been an integral part of the Rockwood Veterinary Clinic (RVC). Her unwavering commitment to improving the well-being of animals has not only been a career but a calling. Shayna's furry and feathered family at home, including a dog, three cats, a bird, and four chickens, attests to her genuine passion for all creatures great and small.

For Shayna, every day on the job is a chance to provide comfort and care to adorable companions.

Registered Veterinary Technician

Katie Grech

Katie has been a part of the Rockwood Veterinary Clinic team since 2020 when she began her co-op placement. She was hired once graduating from Sheridan College and obtaining her Registered Veterinary Technician credentials in 2022. Katie has a special interest in surgery and anesthesia, and also a love for equine veterinary medicine which she fulfills when not at RVC.
When not working you can usually find her riding her horse ‘Donnie Darko’, or taking care of her many pets including; her special 16 year old Jack Russell mix ‘Ella’, her collection of black cats, or her aquatic pets including ‘Milo’ the turtle.

Chloe Greer

Hi, I’m Chloe! I’ve been part of the Rockwood Vet team since 2019! I am currently studying Animal Biology at the University of Guelph with the goal of becoming a veterinarian. I adopted my first cat, Indigo, through Animals Homeward Bound. Indi was supposed to be a foster for two weeks, but she ended up staying forever! You can count on me to greet your pets with love, care and treats!

Donna Yurek

Donna has been a volunteer at the clinic for over 12 years and recently joined the clinic as an employee. Baking is one of her hobbies and she enjoy bringing in treats for the staff to munch on. She and her husband have three pets at home: three dogs Kate,Tony,and Ebony and one cat, Mikey.

Genevieve (Genna) Logozzo

Genna has been working as a technician assistant at Rockwood Veterinary Clinic since August 2022. She is in her fourth year at the University of Guelph studying Animal Biology and is an aspiring veterinarian who plans to work with companion, large, and exotic animals.
Outside of work, she enjoys going on hikes with her black lab, bird watching, painting/drawing, and studying for her classes. She has two rabbits named JRoc and Ginger, a dog named Riley, and an AHB cat she adopted from Rockwood Vet Clinic named Lucy. She enjoys spending time with her friends, playing Zelda or minesweeper, and reading when there is enough free time to do so.

Maddie Armstrong

Maddie has had a passion for animals her entire life. She is working towards her goal of becoming a veterinarian and is currently in her third year of Animal Biology at the University of Guelph. She has been working at Rockwood as a technician assistant since March of 2022.

When she's not working or dedicating her time to school, she spends most of her free time with her dog Dexter and her four cats Roo, Goose, Ellie, and Kaos. Kaos was originally brought home as a foster but was later adopted through the AHB program. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, reading, and caring for her (obnoxiously large collection) of houseplants.

Madeleine Saliba

Madeleine is an avid learner, graduating from the University of Guelph in 2022 with an HBSc in Biomedical Sciences with distinction.

She fosters a love for the biological sciences, and has dreamed of working in veterinary medicine since she was very little. She has been working as a Technician Assistant at RVC since 2022.

Madeleine is the proud pet-parent of two dogs, Marley and Willow, who she enjoys spoiling absolutely rotten. In her free time, she enjoys curling up with a good book (of which she has entirely too many), playing a game with her friends, or purchasing her dogs a new toy because “they don’t have this one yet!”.

Matt Seaton

Matt's love for animals has been a lifelong calling, and this profound passion has guided his academic journey. He is currently in his third year of Zoology at the University of Guelph with a vision to become a veterinarian after completing his undergraduate studies, Matt's specific areas of interest include companion and exotic animals, all while harbouring a fascination for the intricacies of emergency medicine and critical care.

When he's not at work or studying for school, he loves spending time with his golden retriever Cody and also cares for a betta fish named Jimmy. Matt's early years saw him responsible for a diverse array of pets, from Pebble, the pot-bellied pig, to a bearded dragon and several budgies, among others. Beyond his love for animals, his interests include playing golf (don't ask about his handicap), watching movies, and playing video games when there's enough free time.

Natalie Zilstra

Natalie knew Rockwood Veterinary Clinic was the right place for her from her first day as a volunteer in February 2023 and joined the team as a technician assistant/receptionist in May 2023. She is currently finishing her final year of her Animal Biology Undergraduate Degree at the University of Guelph and hopes to become a small animal/exotics veterinarian.
Natalie has a small chihuahua mix named Snowflake, two small aquariums and a rescue cat named Kibbey to keep her busy at home. Outside of animal care, Natalie is very passionate about indoor and outdoor rock climbing, music and fitness.

Hi! My name is Carly! I’ve been working at Rockwood vet for over 3 years now. Working here has taught me so much, more than I could have imagined! The best thing about working here is that it’s like having another family. I know that if my pup needs anything, they are there for her and will take the best care of my furbaby!

Skylar Leeder

Skylar has been part of our veterinary team for a couple of years now. She started as a volunteer, and more recently was hired as a part time student. She has a love for animals and has many at home. Skylar helps us as often as she is able to in the role of assistant to our technicians or on reception.

Rhonda Manion -Pittens

Rhonda joined the Rockwood Veterinary Clinic reception team in 2006. She primarily works on ‘Desk 1’ greeting clients, checking patients in, and ensuring that things run as smoothly as possibly in the busy clinic environment. While she is an asset in the front of clinic duties, she occasionally assists in the prep room, helping our busy technicians and veterinarians as needed.

Rhonda has three cats – ‘Muskie’ whom she bottle fed and raised from a couple days old, and ‘Joey’ a handsome guy who was left in a box at the front door of the clinic, and Stewie who also stole Rhonda’s heart from our Animals Homeward Bound rescue group. In addition to her own pets, Rhonda enjoys fostering and bottle feeding the kittens that come into the Animals Homeward Bound adoption program.

Office Manager

Diane Lea

Our Office Manager is Diane Lea. In charge of almost everything! She is always happy to hear your feedback on our services and your suggestions for how we can improve them. Diane is also the nerve centre for our accounts receivable so to stay on her good side, keep in touch! She can be a pussy cat or a saber toothed tiger as required.

Diane had been a friend and long-time client of Rockwood Vet Clinic before joining them as Office Manager in 2010. She is an active supporter of Animals Homeward Bound and leads the fundraising efforts to help the animals in need.

In her spare time Diane enjoys the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. She is the proud owner of three cats Annie, Oliver (Ollie) and Tiger Lily (Lily).

Ian Borean

Ian graduated from Northern college and started working at Rockwood Cet a few years later. In his spare time he enjoys playing video games, listening to music, hiking, and reading. He currently has no pets but gets all the love he needs from his furry friends at the vet.

Jackie Maine

Jackie has been a member of the Rockwood Veterinary Clinic team since 2001. She primarily deals with the financial part of things here at Rockwood Vet, however she also assists with other clerical functions as needed. She is one of our ‘behind the scenes’ staff members, so you may not see her too often, but she is essential for helping keep the clinic running smoothly.

In her free time, Jackie enjoys travelling the world with her husband Andy. When home she prefers to spend time with playful kittens, George, Arthur and Albert, and enjoying time outdoors with friends and family.

Lynn has been a friend and client of Rockwood Veterinary Clinic since it opened many years ago. She has returned after a fifteen year absence to help in the office and assist reception.
